A collaboration between several departments at PSU, private local businesses, and the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in the nation has netted the creation and production of face shield components designed to minimize the risk of COVID-19 to thousands of health care workers.

Provost Smith Appointed to National Leadership Academy

Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Howard Smith was chosen as one of 35 people to the Executive Leadership Academy for 2020-2021, a prestigious national program that kicks off with a seminar in Washington, D.C., in late June.

Nursing Grads Working on Front Lines

Carley Perkins, a 2014 graduate of PSU’s Irene Bradley School of Nursing, is working as a volunteer on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic in New Jersey, one of the hardest hit areas with 68,824 confirmed cases as of April 16 and 2,805 deaths.

Morgan Named to USTFCCCA 2020 Hall of Fame

Former PSU All-American sprinter/hurdler Dinsdale Morgan was selected as one of six members of the United States Cross Country and Track & Field Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division II Hall of Fame Class of 2020.

Goddards Teach Music Classes from Apartment

After graduating last May with a degree in music education, a dream came true for Chris Goddard: he got his own music classroom in St. Paul, Kansas — a tiny district in which he could watch his students progress musically from pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade.
